Network Technician

As a Fibre Splicer at this company, you will be responsible for installing, splicing, testing, and maintaining fibre optic cables to ensure high-quality connectivity for telecom and data networks. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of fibre optic cables.
• Lay, terminate, and manage fibre optic cables in underground, aerial, and inside plant environments.
• Use OTDR, power meters, and other tools to test fibre integrity and diagnose faults.
• Maintain accurate records of splicing activities, test results, and cable routes.
• Follow industry standards and safety protocols during installation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to deliver projects on time.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Technical knowledge of fibre optic theory, splicing techniques, and cable management.
• Hands-on experience with OTDR, fusion splicers, and related fibre optic tools.
• Problem-solving ability to quickly identify and resolve fibre issues.
• Attention to detail for precise splicing and testing.
• Physical fitness to work in field conditions (outdoors, confined spaces, heights).
• Communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/Certification in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum 25 Years Of Fibre Splicing Experience Preferred.
• Valid drivers license (for field mobility).
