Experienced Full-Stack Engineer (Backend Heavy) + Tech Lead

As a Senior/Lead Full-Time Backend Engineer at Acowale, you will play a crucial role in designing and building the backend architecture that can scale seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing backend architecture that can handle heavy loads without breaking down
• Developing clean APIs with proper documentation
• Optimizing PostgreSQL performance under heavy load
• Leading the engineering team effectively while maintaining a hands-on approach
• Contributing to the frontend development when required, ensuring high-quality features
• Shipping features end-to-end with professionalism

Your playground will involve working with technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL (in-depth knowledge required for backend), React with TypeScript for frontend, Docker, GitHub Actions, Nginx for DevOps, Jest for testing, GCP/Azure for infrastructure, and following an API-first architecture in a Monorepo setup.

We are looking for individuals who think in systems, have a track record of building robust solutions, enjoy mentoring others, prioritize clean code and performance optimization, and possess strong Linux debugging skills.
