Job Description
Project Manager – Wheeler River Construction Project (Denison Mines)
Location: Northern Saskatchewan (Fly-in/Fly-out)
Rotation: 2 weeks on / 1 week off
Duration: 2+ year project
Denison Mines is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead execution of the Wheeler River Construction Project—one of the most significant uranium development projects in Canada. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in delivering a complex, multi-year project in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of the construction project from mobilization through to completion
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control & contract
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and mange project performance and implement corrective actions as needed
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site protocols
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, PMP or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in mining or large-scale industrial construction
- Proven experience managing remote-site or fly-in/fly-out projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and risk effectively
- Experience in mining, or heavy civil projects is highly preferred
Work Conditions
- Fly-in/fly-out rotation: 2 weeks on / 1 week off
- Camp-based accommodation provided
- Work in a remote northern environment with a focus on safety and teamwork
