Job Description
As a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager, you will own purchasing, vendor management, and the stores and inventory function. You will source and qualify vendors, negotiate terms, manage the day-to-day procurement workflow, and lead a small team responsible for purchasing, stores, and inventory.

Day-to-Day Activities
- Own end-to-end procurement: from purchase requisition through PO, delivery, and invoice
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new vendors for mechanical, electronic, electrical, and consumable supplies
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery commitments with vendors
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve quality, delivery, and commercial issues
- Manage the stores function, including goods receipt, inspection, storage, and issue
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee periodic physical stock verification
- Plan and manage stock levels to avoid both shortages and excess
- Manage and mentor a small team handling purchasing, stores, and inventory operations
- Track and report procurement metrics: on-time delivery, vendor performance, savings, and inventory turns
- Coordinate closely with engineering, production, and finance on requirements and budgets
- Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, and audit-ready records
Requirements and Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with vendor sourcing, negotiation, and management
- Working knowledge of stores, inventory control, and goods management
- Experience handling end-to-end purchase orders and supplier coordination
- Strong commercial sense and confidence negotiating prices and terms
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, finance)
- Good documentation, follow-through, and attention to detail
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Prior experience in robotics, electronics, automotive, or hardware manufacturing
- Familiarity with an ERP or procurement system (SAP, Oracle, Zoho, Odoo, or similar)
- Experience managing or supervising a small procurement or stores team
- Exposure to import/export, indirect taxes (GST), and inward logistics
- Knowledge of quality and compliance requirements for incoming materials
