Position Summary  The Family Outreach Coordinator is responsible for engaging families and ensuring clear, accessible communication regarding grant-funded programs and direct student services. This role will empower parents to make informed decisions, increasing transparency, and promoting equitable access to educational opportunities.  Key Responsibilities  Family Outreach & Engagement  <ul> <li>Develop and implement outreach strategies to inform families about grant-funded initiatives, including new or expanded programs.  </li> <li>Build strong relationships with families to increase awareness, participation, and trust.  </li> </ul> Parent Communication & Decision Support  <ul> <li>Provide clear, timely, and accessible information about available direct student services.  </li> <li>Ensure parents have sufficient time and resources to make informed choices prior to student enrollment in services.  </li> <li>Support families in understanding program options, eligibility, and expected outcomes.  </li> </ul> Information Accessibility  <ul> <li>Translate complex program information into parent-friendly formats (e.g., newsletters, websites, meetings, multilingual materials).  </li> <li>Ensure communication methods are inclusive and accessible to diverse family populations.  </li> </ul> Transparency & Reporting  <ul> <li>Publicly report provider performance related to student outcomes in a clear, understandable format.  </li> <li>Collaborate with internal teams to gather and present data on program effectiveness.  </li> <li>Maintain transparency in how services impact student achievement.  </li> </ul>  Collaboration  <ul> <li>Work closely with school leadership, program staff, and external providers to ensure consistent messaging.  </li> <li>Coordinate with community partners to expand outreach and support for families.  </li> </ul> Qualifications  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Social Work, or a related field (preferred).  </li> <li>Experience in family engagement, community outreach, or education programs.  </li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  </li> <li>Ability to present complex information in a clear, accessible manner.  </li> <li>Experience working with diverse populations and multilingual communities is a plus.  </li> <li>Knowledge of ESSA or education grant requirements preferred.  </li> </ul>  Skills & Competencies  <ul> <li>Effective written and verbal communication  </li> <li>Cultural competency and responsiveness  </li> <li>Organizational and project management skills  </li> <li>Data interpretation and presentation  </li> <li>Relationship-building and stakeholder engagement  </li> </ul> Working Conditions  <ul> <li>May include evening or weekend events to accommodate family schedules.  </li> <li>Occasional travel within the district/community. </li> <li>Yearly position dependent on grant funding. </li> </ul>  About Us “We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances.” – Ron Packard, CEO & Founder ACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing, public charter schools serving PK-12 students.
