Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the service team to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair enterprise electronic security systems operating within complex network environments. Responsibilities include servicing and supporting systems such as CCTV, access control, intercom, and intrusion alarm systems, as well as diagnosing and resolving network-related issues that impact system performance.

• Supervise ACTS Internal and external resources onsite to execute service call.
• Provide reports, documentation as required to upper management and customers.
• Provide technical support to junior technicians
• Complete and submit daily updates
• Conducts onsite safety awareness meetings and toolbox talks.
• Communicate regularly with service manager, Project manager and service dispatcher.
• Complete and submit accurate service and installation reports
• Service/ Install and configure ACTS integrated products as required
• Always keep work areas clean and safe, maintain all tools and safety equipment
• Maintain all related safety certifications.
• Maintain company property in a professional manor
• Communicate and maintain Van stock inventory as required
• Work in a team or individual environment as needed
• Supervise and Complete installations/Service to ACTS standards
• Participate in the On-call program as required
• Attend off hour and overnight work as needed.
• Overnight travel with notice may be required

Basic qualification

• Minimum 10 years of experience in installation/service of Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Systems, Security Integration, panel, and system programming
• Stronge knowledge of DSC, C-Cure 9000/Software House, Genetec, Lenel, Kantech, Airphone, Avigilon, Milestone.
• Advanced computer skills including computer hardware and Windows and product application software
• Possess an understanding of network topology and troubleshooting skills
• Stronge understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANS, DHCP and routing.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Flexible, dynamic thinker, able to assess issues, effectively prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Must hold a valid Class G driver’s license and be able to travel to job sites.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Must be able to meet or surpass security clearance (CPIC or government security clearances).

Physical Demands

• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
• Must be able to walk, climb, stand, lift, and bend repeatedly.
• Will be required to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• Travel to various customer sites across the GTA (industrial, commercial, construction sites, etc.), coming to the office/warehouse when necessary.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
