Job Description
Purpose of the project: We are looking for passionate and field-oriented Agronomists to support a farmer productivity enhancement project aimed at improving crop yields through scientific Package of Practices (PoP) adoption.
Location:
Uttar Pradesh: Block Garhmukteshwar (Hapur) & Bulandshahr District
Madhya Pradesh: Block Badi, Baktara, Bareli (Raisen) & Chhindwara Districts
Experience: 4–6 Years
Qualification: B.Sc. Agriculture (M.Sc. preferred)
Salary: Rs 18,000 – 22,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Mobilize and engage farmers in assigned villages.
- Organize and conduct farmer training programs and field demonstrations.
- Provide handholding support throughout the crop cycle.
- Advise farmers on seed, nutrient, irrigation, pest, disease, and crop management practices.
- Monitor adoption of recommended practices and collect field data.
- Maintain farmer records and submit regular progress reports.
- Coordinate with local stakeholders, FPOs, village leaders, and agriculture officials.
Desired Profile:
- 4–6 years of experience in agricultural extension, agronomy, CSR, NGO, FPO, or agri-input sectors.
- Strong understanding of local cropping systems and farming practices.
- Excellent communication and farmer engagement skills.
- Ability to conduct training programs in Hindi and local dialects.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and mobile-based reporting tools.
Additional Requirements
- Extensive field travel (70–80%) within assigned districts.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred.

- Quality and timeliness of reporting
- Achievement of project targets
- Convergence & coordination- DDM NABARD, Agriculture Officer, KVK, Seed & Pesticide Companies, Blocks, SRLM, FPOs, SHGs etc.
