Primary Purpose of Role
AB InBev India is looking for a seasoned Policy and Government Advocacy professional to be a part of its Corporate Affairs team to shape and strengthen the advocacy of the company and its iconic brands in India like Budweiser, Corona and Hoegaarden.
This role will join the existing team of experts and strengthen AB InBev’s excise policy representations to various states governments and advocate for the growth of Beer in India. Responsibilities will include working closely with cross-functional India teams, as well aa global teams. You will be AB InBev India’s link to senior bureaucrats, building strong relationships to drive policy changes leading to business growth.
This is a high‑visibility role for someone who thrives in fast‑paced, complex environments and can operate confidently with very senior govt and industry stakeholder.

- Engage with key stakeholders across state governments departments.
- Work on yearly state excise policy improvements to enable beer industry growth.
- Identify, monitor, and analyze policy issues affecting AB InBev in India.
- Be the voice of the company at govt forums like policy consultations, high level govt meetings.
- Assist senior leadership with govt meetings during state visits.
- Represent AB InBev at industry associations like FICCI, CII, USISPF, FEBI, BAI etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data backed representations that influence regulatory decisions with senior govt officials.
- Make presentations to senior bureaucrats and ministers.
- Stay ahead of the curve by keeping a tab on policy changes in states and find opportunities for business growth.
- Represent the company in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education level and/ or work experience
- Graduate or Post-graduate degree with specialization in Public Policy, law or related fields preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, and government relations.
- Experience in a consumer goods company is preferred
Skills and/or knowledge
- 10+ years of experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, and government relations.
- Hand on experience in policy advocacy
- Strategic thinker who can translate complex policy & regulatory challenges into clear, actionable plans.
- Exceptional personal, political, analytical, organizational and people management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Experience working with senior leadership and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the consumer, beverages, FMCG, or adjacent sectors is a strong advantage.
