Content Writer Internship

About the Role

We are looking for a sharp, curious, and culturally aware Content Writer Intern to join our editorial team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the pulse of current affairs, blends traditional journalism with modern voice, and can write content that informs, engages, and resonates with today’s audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, write, and edit articles for newspaper and digital platforms
• Stay updated with daily news, current affairs, and trending topics
• Create content that balances factual accuracy with engaging storytelling
• Interpret complex information into clear, reader-friendly language
• Bring in fresh perspectives while maintaining editorial integrity
• Work on features, opinion pieces, and trend-based content
• Collaborate with the editorial team for ideation and content planning

What We’re Looking For

• Strong command over written English (clarity, tone, structure)
• Deep interest in news, current affairs, and media trends
• Awareness of Gen Z language, internet culture, and evolving slang
• Excellent research skills with attention to detail and fact-checking
• Basic understanding of history and socio-political context
• Ability to adapt writing style based on topic (formal, conversational, analytical)

A curious mindset with the ability to question, analyze, and interpret information

Bonus (Good to Have)

• Prior writing experience (blogs, articles, college magazines, etc.)
• Familiarity with editorial formats like op-eds, features, and reports
• Understanding of digital media platforms and audience behavior
