Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and cargo to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to operate heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across local, regional, or national routes.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipping documents, and other required paperwork.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment to load or unload.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting if mechanical issues arise during routes.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling.
- Physical ability to load, unload, and secure freight; including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to delivery schedules.
- Must pass background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process.

Pay: $20.00-$33.00 per hour
