606 Essex Chambers is a growing Vancouver litigation boutique seeking an associate with approximately 3.5 to 7 years of experience who is looking for challenging work, substantial responsibility, and long-term growth.

What We Offer

• Estimated compensation of approximately $183,000 to $250,000+, with significant future growth potential. Qualified candidates will be shown the actual compensation of existing lawyers at the firm during the interview process.
• Interesting and sophisticated work, including commercial litigation, fraud and asset recovery, shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract and fiduciary duty claims, and significant CRA audits and tax disputes.
• Meaningful responsibility, direct client contact, and substantially greater autonomy than is often available at larger firms.
• Flexible work arrangements. Lawyers frequently work remotely and while travelling. Attendance at the office is encouraged but generally required only when collaboration, client meetings, or other in-person responsibilities make attendance beneficial.
• Business development mentorship. The firm provides associates with substantial work and, for those interested, practical guidance and hand-holding on developing referral sources, building client relationships, and growing a successful long-term practice.

Qualifications

• 3.5 to 6 years of experience at a reputable law firm.
• Membership in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
• Above-average academic performance in law school.
• Strong analytical, advocacy, and legal writing skills.
