What We’re Looking For

We’re looking to add a Creative Director to our team. But first - let’s clarify what that title means, because it’s a term that’s tossed about in a variety of ways these days.

At 522, our Creative Directors develop and execute the creative vision for our clients’ videos. They develop concepts, serve as director on set, oversee post production, and collaborate with Editors and Motion Designers - if they’re not cutting the video themselves.

In order to produce videos that achieve results, it means that you must understand the constantly evolving video marketing landscape and the essential role video plays in helping our clients achieve their goals. It means you’re comfortable producing brand videos; mission videos; or recruitment videos for Fortune 500, Government, and nonprofit clients. That’s why we need your creative genius to help produce killer content for our clients. As you continue to grow and expand your creative career, you help us elevate our brand.

Things You’ll Do

Creative Direction… as the title implies

• Provide extraordinary customer service client experience
• Create engaging video marketing concepts and production documents within defined timelines, budgets, and other limitations
• Develop a deep understanding of client preferences, pain-points, and aspirations within video marketing
• Collaborate with other creatives, video editors, production leads, and freelancers to ensure that all products meet 522’s quality standards.
• Direct production crews to execute creative vision on set
• Manage clients, crew, and talent amid high-pressure production environment
• Handle complex shoots with ease, overcoming unforeseen obstacles of light, audio, time, and space
• Oversee production equipment on local, domestic, and international shoots
• Seek out opportunities to improve and innovate 522’s production tools and processes
• Work closely with Producers to ensure that video deliverables are completed on time and without errors
• Provide direction to full-time and freelance video editors to advance creative vision
• Communicate with clients and project managers to address feedback with precision
• Develop and quality control final video files for delivery to client

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in marketing or documentary-based storytelling
• Bachelor's Degree in Film, Broadcast Journalism, or equivalent
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere (bonus points for Adobe After Effects)
• Proficiency with Sony Cameras (FX6/FX3) and similar digital cinema cameras
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects at once
• Have a higher understanding of project management tools and keeping projects on track, on time and within budget
• Willingness to train and mentor less-experienced team members
• Ambition to shape the future of a fast-growing video agency

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
