Project Director - High-Rise Construction

Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Compensation: $180,000 - $230,000 base + bonus + full benefits

About The Opportunity

3 Step Recruitment is working with a well-established and growing construction management firm to hire a Project Director to lead a portfolio of high-rise residential projects.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple projects, driving profitability, and leading high-performing project teams. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple high-rise construction projects from preconstruction through to completion
• Drive project profitability, cost control, and financial performance across the portfolio
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to Senior Project Managers and project teams
• Act as the main point of contact for key clients on escalated issues and strategic discussions
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with contract requirements
• Lead project planning, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting processes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Support bidding, RFPs, and new business pursuits within the high-rise market
• Establish consistent processes, standards, and reporting across all projects
• Contribute to team growth, hiring, and overall business strategy

What We’re Looking For

• 15-20+ years of experience in construction, with a strong focus on high-rise residential projects
• Proven experience leading multiple projects or large-scale complex developments
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and project profitability
• Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring and managing senior project teams
• Deep understanding of contracts, risk management, and construction processes
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders
• Ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level
