Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, be comfortable handling cash transactions, and have a passion for retail.

This position requires 10–15% travel outside Edmonton for exhibitions and trade shows.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.

Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.

Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision and care.

Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product information to effectively sell to customers.

Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.

Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment.

Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks.

Skills

Talking conformably and confidently with customers and guests is a must skill for the job

Must confidently initiate conversations with passersby to engage and introduce products

Proficient in English; bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.

some cash handling experience with attention to detail in transactions.

Excellent sales skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.

Demonstrated phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.

Experience in cashiering and operating POS systems is preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining professionalism.

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in cold sales, such as cold calling, cell phone plan sales, insurance, or similar fields
