Job Description What is the opportunity? We are excited to announce a new opportunity within the ATM team for an ATM Systems Engineer. This role is a hybrid position, combining 25% of the responsibilities of a Senior Site Reliability Developer with a focus on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of ATM systems, and 75% of responsibilities focused on IT systems engineering, troubleshooting, and automation. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical professional with a strong background in Windows systems, networking, and automation to contribute to the success of a mission-critical domain. What will you do? As an Systems and Network Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation, deployment, and maintenance of the pre-production systems. Your responsibilities will include: ATM Build Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to ATM builds, ensuring reliability and performance ATM Build & Pre-prod Deployment: Manage the deployment of ATM, ensuring compliance with established standards and configurations Documentation: Create and maintain detailed build specifications, configuration records, and project deliverables Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure timely updates, issue resolution, and successful project execution System Implementation: Implement new infrastructure, applications, and IT services to enhance the overall operations Migration Projects: Execute migration projects, including operating systems, applications, and data Automation: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and develop scripts to improve operational efficiency Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Utilize network monitoring tools to identify and resolve hardware, software, and network issues Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of systems and applications IT Roadmap Planning: Contribute to the planning and execution of the IT roadmap, including proof-of-concept evaluations and new technology adoption. What do you need to succeed? Must have: To excel as a Systems and Network Engineer in the ATM team, you must have the following skills and expertise: Strong experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server OS Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls) Proficiency in network troubleshooting and network monitoring tools (e.g. Wireshark) Hands-on experience with Active Directory and user management Expertise in Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and GPO troubleshooting Strong scripting/automation skills in PowerShell and Python Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira Service Management. Linux Experience: Proficient with Linux command-line tools and shell scripting. Including creating, moving, copying, deleting files and directories. User and group management (adding, modifying, and deleting users/groups) Managing file permissions and ownership Basic troubleshooting and system diagnostics Nice-to-have: While not required, the following skills and experiences would give candidates an edge and help them ramp up faster in the role of Systems and Network Engineer in the ATM team: Advanced PowerShell scripting (modules, functions, error handling). Basic SQL query knowledge for troubleshooting. Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server fundamentals. Expertise in network packet analysis. Proficiency in Confluence for documentation and Microsoft Visio for creating diagrams. Experience with MECM (SCCM), including: MECM console navigation and administration. Application and package deployment. Device and user collection management. Client troubleshooting and health monitoring. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions Excellent time management and prioritization skills Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
