Job Description
Job Description What is the opportunity? This is a key role within the Private Equity Financial Control team. You will ensure that appropriate controls and processes are in place to support the accuracy and completeness of RBC’s Private Equity group. You will support the accounting execution and financial reporting on fund activity throughout the investment life cycle. What will you do? Ensure the provision of accurate and complete financial reporting for RBC’s Private Equity fund investments, including timely update of fund financial data and other fund communications Handle updates to the Private Equity source system (Investran) with precision and attention to detail, maintaining data accuracy and consistency Manage the inflow of communications and updates received from external funds, maintain organized records and ensure timely action Prepare journal entries to support the accurate update of portfolio activity reflected in RBC’s financial statements Prepare reconciliations and Standards of Documentation packages to assess the sufficiency of source documentation and controls substantiating balance sheet positions Assist in the preparation of reporting in support of the Private Equity Front Office, internal Segment review, and quarterly financial statement disclosures Maintain a strong control environment by identifying control weaknesses and recommending improvements Execute and support on special projects as assigned by group leadership What do you need to succeed? Must have: Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience in fund accounting, finance operations, or private equity Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills Team player with strong communication and written skills Ability to work independently and multi-task Strong proficiency in Excel Nice-to-have: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field Experience operating Investran or other fund accounting system Prior experience in private equity or fund accounting Knowledge of RBC systems and related financial tools What’s in it for you?
