Position Overview:
An IT Generation team is seeking a Business Systems Analyst, this role will involve collaborating to support business systems, analyze processes, and implement technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, experience in business systems analysis, and the ability to work across multiple teams to improve business processes and implement technology-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and lead requirements gathering workshops for large and complex initiatives.
- Analyze and document business systems, processes, problems, and operational needs.
- Conduct “as-is” and “to-be” process analysis and perform gap analysis.
- Define and document business requirements, use cases, and test cases using structured methodologies.
- Provide written and verbal project updates to business stakeholders and IT management.
- Act as a technology consultant to internal business partners, identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, business units, and external service providers to implement or enhance systems.
- Support new system implementation projects and maintain existing applications.
- Provide application support and troubleshooting for multiple business systems.
- Lead documentation efforts for business processes, test plans, and solution design.
- Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities, including control execution and evidence gathering.
- Develop innovative automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce workload and add value to the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Power BI experience
- IT experience in business systems analysis within large-scale environments
- Experience working across multiple hardware and software platforms
- Ability to analyze and improve business processes
- Experience collaborating with IT teams during system implementation

- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities

Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex business issues
- Experience in the utility, renewable energy, or power generation industries
- Experience working in regulated industries such as energy or oil & gas
Experience Requirements
- 2–5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise systems
Education
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
