Job description
Sales Representative (Commission-Only) — Zlenox | Senior Living | CanadaAbout Zlenox
Zlenox is the company behind ZHERP — a Healthcare Enterprise Resource Planner built specifically for senior living and long-term care facilities. ZHERP replaces the fragmented mix of paper-based workflows and outdated legacy software that most facilities rely on today, bringing Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Human Resources Management (HRM), and Resident Relationship Management (CRM) into a single, modern platform.
We achieved federal CIHI licensure in June 2025, clearing the compliance bar that matters most to facility operators and procurement teams in Canada. The product has been validated through initial user testing and is ready for commercial rollout. You would be our first dedicated sales hire — the person who takes a licensed, working product to market.
The Role
We are looking for a driven, self-directed Sales Representative to own the full sales cycle for ZHERP — from prospecting senior living and long-term care facilities to closing contracts and supporting onboarding handoffs.
This is a fully commission-based role. For the right candidate with a demonstrated track record, an equity stake is also on the table.
You will:
- Prospect and qualify retirement homes, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing operators across Canada
- Lead discovery calls and product demonstrations, positioning ZHERP against legacy EHR/ERP incumbents
- Navigate facility-level and organizational-level procurement processes, including administrator, DOC, and ownership/operator sign-off
- Manage the full pipeline from cold outreach through contract execution
- Relay market feedback to the founding team to inform product priorities
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers for renewals and expansion
There is no ceiling on what you can earn here. ZHERP is a recurring SaaS contract — every facility you close pays monthly or annually. The pipeline you build now compounds over time.
What We're Looking For
Strongly Preferred
- Prior sales experience into senior living, long-term care, or healthcare facility environments — you understand how these organizations buy, who the real decision-makers are, and how long cycles typically run
- Familiarity with the Ontario (and broader Canadian) long-term care regulatory landscape, including RHRA, CIHI, and Ministry of Health reporting requirements
- A track record of closing B2B contracts in regulated or compliance-driven industries
Required
- Demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline and close — we are not looking for someone who needs a structured sales org around them
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable running product demos independently after onboarding
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating without a base salary — you earn what you close
- Genuine interest in the senior care sector and in selling a product that meaningfully improves how facilities operate
Nice to Have
- Existing relationships with retirement home operators, DONs, administrators, or ownership groups
- Experience selling SaaS or healthcare software (EMR, EHR, HRM, scheduling tools)
- Familiarity with procurement and RFP processes in publicly funded or regulated care settings
Compensation
This role is fully commission-based. Commission structure and rates will be discussed during the interview process and are designed to be competitive with what an experienced healthcare sales rep would expect.
For candidates with a strong background and network in the senior living sector, an equity stake in Zlenox is also available and will be discussed based on experience and fit.
Why This Opportunity
- The compliance work is done. CIHI licensure is in place — you are not selling vaporware or a product waiting on regulatory approval.
- The market is underserved. Most senior living facilities in Canada still run on outdated, disconnected systems. The case for switching sells itself once operators see the platform.
- You are first in. The pipeline you build is yours. There is no existing sales team to split territory with, and the relationships you establish now have long-term compounding value.
- Recurring revenue. Every contract you close generates ongoing monthly or annual revenue — your commission doesn't stop when the deal signs.
Zlenox is headquartered in the Greater Toronto Area. This role can be conducted remotely across Canada, with travel to facilities as needed.
