We’re hiring: Strong Rust Developer (Remote) - Secure Email / Privacy / Security Project

At Zangula, we build real products for real clients - remote-first, high ownership, and strong engineering standards. We care about clean delivery, clear communication, and shipping systems that actually work in production.

Right now, we’re starting a new and especially challenging project in the secure email / privacy / security space.

This is not a “greenfield toy project.” There is an existing Rust codebase that needs someone solid to:

• learn it deeply,
• stabilize and improve it,
• fix issues and edge cases,
• strengthen reliability and performance,
• and lead it toward a clean production deployment and security readiness (prep for security testing/audits).

What we’re looking for

• Strong hands-on experience with Rust
• Ability to ramp up quickly on an existing codebase
• Backend/systems experience (performance, reliability, debugging complex issues)
• Big advantage: experience with security / encryption / privacy / infrastructure / scalable systems
• A developer who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and isn’t afraid of complex code
