Location: McLean, VA

The impact you will have:

• Deliver a wide range of high-value technical projects, including designing and building reference architectures, developing how-to guides, and operationalizing customer use cases.
• Partner with Engagement Managers to scope professional services work based on customer needs and desired outcomes.
• Guide strategic customers through transformational big data initiatives and third-party migrations, including end-to-end design, build, and deployment of advanced data and AI applications.
• Provide architectural guidance and hands-on implementation support to ensure successful evaluation and adoption of Zachary Piper Solutions.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex operational issues during customer engagements.
• Collaborate closely with Zachary Piper Solutions technical teams, Project Managers, Architects, and customer stakeholders to ensure all technical components are delivered effectively.
• Work with Engineering and Customer Support to share product feedback, resolve engagement-specific issues, and improve the overall customer experience.

What we look for:

• U.S. citizenship
• Experienced in Apache Spark (Must have)
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or analytics
• Proficiency in Python or Scala
• Working knowledge of at least two major cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deep expertise in one
• Strong experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark™ and familiarity with Spark runtime internals
• Understanding of CI/CD practices for production deployments
• Working knowledge of MLOps concepts and workflows
• Experience designing and deploying scalable, performant end-to-end data architectures
• Proven ability to deliver technical projects, manage scope, and meet timelines
• Strong documentation, communication, and whiteboarding skills
• Experience working directly with customers and navigating conflict or ambiguity
• Ability to build new technical skills that support Zachary Piper Solutions solution deployment and integration
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

Compensation

• Salary Range: $120,000 - $225,000 based on experience
