Role & responsibilities

• Work directly with clinical, operational, billing, and IT teams to understand how they function and where they face challenges.
• Break down complex healthcare workflows and turn them into clear, actionable requirements for development teams.
• Lead requirement discussions, workshops, and solution brainstorming sessions.
• Define scope, priorities, and success criteria for healthcare initiatives.
• Document business requirements clearly like BRDs, user stories, process flows, data mapping, and integration needs.
• Bring strong domain insight into areas like EMR/EHR systems, Patient portals, e-Prescription workflows, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
• Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure what gets built truly solves the business problem.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, HL7, FHIR, batch processes, and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA.
• Communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, from operational users to leadership.
• Take ownership and drive initiatives from idea to go-live.

REQUIREMENTS

• Should have experience as a business analyst.
• At least 3 years working with US healthcare clients (provider side preferred).
• Strong understanding of clinical and administrative workflows.
• Experience working with at least one of these areas: EMR/EHR systems, patient engagement platforms, or prescription systems.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments.
• Ability to write clear user stories and functional requirements.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis.
