The Medical Laboratory
Technologist plays a key role in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine by executing both manual and automated tests. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate complex instruments while ensuring patient confidentiality. You'll become proficient in quality assurance techniques and work effectively under minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analytical tests and procedures in the lab
- Operate computer-integrated laboratory instruments
- Report results according to established protocols
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Make independent judgments on test reportability Requirements:
- Graduate from an approved Medical Laboratory program
- Licensed with NSRMLS or eligible
- Register with CSMLS
- Ability to work shiftwork and travel
