Java Software Engineer Onsite, Boston, MA

Required Skills

• Expert in core Java technologies and frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Strong proficiency with SQL databases and data management.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, especially SQS, SNS, and container services like EKS and Docker.
• Skilled in version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of asynchronous messaging using Kafka, SQS, or SNS.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture and twelve-factor app principles.
• Strong focus on building reliable, scalable, and secure software.
• Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit and Spring Boot test frameworks.
• Proven record of deploying applications via CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with algorithm design and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms or DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with financial or trading systems.
• Prior experience mentoring or leading small development teams.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6 to 9 years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 working specifically on Java backend systems.

Estimated Min Rate: $52.50

Estimated Max Rate: $75.00
