Job description

API Automation Test Engineer

1. E2E automation testing using Selenium

2. API testing

3. Exp in BDD

4. Programming knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks and test scripts.

Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of REST and SOAP APIs.

Validate API requests, responses, status codes, payloads, headers, authentication, and data integrity.

Develop automated test suites using industry-standard tools and frameworks.

Create and execute test cases based on business and technical requirements.

Analyze API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI) and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.

Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

Perform database validation and backend data verification using SQL queries.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Generate test execution reports and quality metrics.
