Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Medical Coder specializing in E&M (Evaluation & Management) Emergency Department (ED) Facility coding. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing emergency department facility charts, assigning accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer-specific regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Emergency Department (ED) facility medical records and assign accurate E&M facility codes.
• Apply appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation.
• Ensure coding compliance with AMA, CMS, and payer-specific guidelines.
• Analyze physician and facility documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify and resolve coding edits, denials, and documentation discrepancies.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity standards.
• Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated with coding guideline changes and regulatory updates.
• Coordinate with providers, billing teams, and auditors for coding clarifications.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
• E&M ED Facility coding
• ICD-10-CM
• CPT & HCPCS coding
• Emergency Department coding guidelines
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Familiarity with CMS and payer regulations.
• Good analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet productivity targets.

Qualifications

• Any Degree / Life Science / Pharmacy / Nursing background preferred.
• CPC / CCS certification preferred.

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in E&M ED Facility coding.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and coding software.
• Exposure to denial management and coding audits is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹10,137.11 - ₹60,802.90 per month
