Position Summary
As a Modeling Analyst II, you will be the subject matter expert on fundamental market price forecasting within our EnCompass product line. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that EnCompass meets the needs of our customers by providing advanced customer support to current and future customers, supporting product development and documentation, and testing and updating market databases for North America. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in power system modeling including production costing, market price formation, and economic transmission analysis.
This position requires close collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to ensure the success of our customers, while also providing customer-facing expertise including day to day customer support, onboarding and training.
Position Details
- Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 plus bonus

- Travel requirement: Up to 30%
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure customers know how to use our products to their fullest potential by providing exceptional customer service, answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support.
- Engage existing and new customers in online and in-person training and onboarding - utilizing presentation skills, industry knowledge, and Yes Energy’s product expertise to maximize our customers’ product use experience.
- Update and create product documentation, tutorials, and related materials.
- Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to facilitate communication about product issues, user experience and to implement and test new EnCompass features.
- Assist Power Infrastructure and partner companies in providing robust EnCompass databases for the North American power markets.
- Provide subject matter expertise to Sales and Marketing to develop campaigns and participate in industry events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in power system modeling, including market price forecasting, production costing, economic transmission analysis, and/or resource planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related analytical field.
- Experience using Excel or BI tools to analyze data.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex modeling errors and guide customers through resolution.
- Ability to travel to customer sites to provide in person training, up to 2 times per month.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with EnCompass, PLEXOS, Aurora, or PROMOD models.
- Familiarity with FERC regulations, ISO/RTO operations, and resource adequacy constructs.
- Prior experience in a client-facing or consultative role, particularly within the energy sector.
