Job Summary
The Business Analyst – Asset Administration Shell (AAS) acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and IT systems to define, analyze, and implement Asset Administration Shell solutions aligned with Industry 4.0 standards. The role focuses on capturing business requirements, defining asset data models, enabling interoperability, and supporting digital twin and asset lifecycle initiatives.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to AAS implementations
- Define and manage Asset Administration Shell sub models for assets
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, architects, and development teams
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, use cases, and process flows
- Ensure alignment with Industry 4.0, RAMI 4.0, and relevant IEC/ISO standards
- Support integration of AAS with PLM, ERP, MES, and IoT platforms
- Analyze asset data structures, metadata, and semantic models
- Support UAT planning, execution, and validation against requirements
- Assist in go-live activities, documentation, and user training

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Must have minimum of 5-7 years in IT as a techno-functional role supporting various IT Applications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and stakeholder management
- Understanding of Asset Administration Shell (AAS) or digital asset concepts
Knowledge of PLM, ERP, MES, or Industrial IoT systems
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools for a successful execution of Waterfall, Agile and/or hybrid methodologies.
- Possess strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and influence.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- BA/BS/ BE/B-Tech degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, or related area Equivalent experience in B-Tech with a technical background (MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or any related field)
- Good interpersonal skills using English, both spoken and written, as will be working with overseas team
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments
