This role requires legal expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory landscapes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, results-oriented attorney with excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment. Responsibilities: Commercial Contracting, Product and Intellectual Property Support:  <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Provide support on commercial contracting, including creating playbooks and other standardization of global terms focusing on risk and compliance</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Provide legal advice and counsel for escalations by contract managers relating to all contractual matters</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including commercial agreements, vendor agreements, and licensing agreements</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Work closely with the product and software engineering teams as they create new functionality and update standard terms and conditions; help influence matters of compliance that should be incorporated into our technology stack</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Assist with the management of Xometry’s intellectual property portfolio, including IP strategy and proactive filings and protections</li> </ul> Compliance Support (including Privacy):  <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Provide support to senior attorneys in the department on a variety of legal, risk and compliance matters</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Provide legal advice and counsel to various departments within the company on a wide range of global legal and business issues</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of global legal issues</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Assist in compliance work, including work related to privacy and export controls</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Assist in review and implementation of policies and procedures</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. state, preferably in Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">5-10+ years of relevant legal experience with 2+ years of in-house experience, preferably within a technology company </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong understanding of commercial law, product support, technology contracts,  intellectual property, privacy, general compliance</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Global export control knowledge helpful</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Ability to prioritize and undertake mission critical tasks, providing exceptional service to various stakeholders</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally with all levels of management regarding complex legal issues</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong ethical and professional judgment</li> </ul> The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $240,000-$270,000 annually + bonus depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
