Job Description
As an Assistant Project Manager at WSP Intelligent Transport Systems, you will be responsible for supporting and leading the delivery of various projects. Your role will involve managing the day-to-day delivery of services, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining quality, and managing budgets effectively. You will be working closely with the Intelligent Infrastructure team and interfacing with clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operations, reporting, bid writing, marketing writing, and PowerBI reports
- Provide commercial support using .xls and data analytics
- Ensure safety, health, and wellbeing of the project team
- Manage project controls through WSP and client systems
- Review and advise on contract scope
- Manage the interface between the Client and WSP
- Support reporting and cost controls in collaboration with Technical Managers
- Forecast and provide cost to complete reporting to clients
- Undertake project planning and scheduling
- Develop KPIs with assistance from Technical Managers and Principal PM
- Ensure quality procedures are adhered to
- Set up regular progress meetings
- Identify efficiencies for added client value
- Ensure project has sufficient resources
- Develop a basic working knowledge of technical delivery processes
Qualifications Required:
- 2-4 years of experience
- CAPM, PFQ, Prince2, PMP, or similar Project Management qualification
- Degree qualification in a relevant discipline
- Experience in UK-based infrastructure projects preferred
- Experience in managing ERP systems like Oracle is an added advantage
- Membership of a Professional Institution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Previous experience in commercial contract/project management
- Experience in managing internal teams and interfacing with client organizations
- BE, BTech, Post Graduates in construction management
