Billing Specialist - MSP

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist – MSP with 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP). The ideal candidate will support end-to-end billing operations within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and efficient reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and process client invoices in accordance with contractual terms and billing schedules.
• Validate timesheets, expense reports, and vendor invoices before billing.
• Manage Accounts Receivable processes, including payment tracking, follow-ups, and collections.
• Handle Accounts Payable activities such as vendor invoice verification and payment coordination.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve invoice-related issues with clients and vendors.
• Maintain accurate billing records and ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, and client services) to ensure billing accuracy.
• Prepare billing reports, aging reports, and other financial summaries as needed.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in billing, AR/AP, or finance operations (preferably in MSP or Staffing environment).
• Strong understanding of invoicing, collections, and reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).
• Familiarity with accounting systems/ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills for client and vendor interactions.

Other Required Qualifications

• Experience in MSP, staffing, or contingent workforce billing models.
• Exposure to time & expense (T&E) billing processes.
• Knowledge of compliance and audit standards in billing.
