Senior Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Specialist
Job Summary Drive data analytics, business intelligence, and automated financial intelligence solutions that deliver executive dashboards, anomaly detection, and process efficiencies for USUHS FMG.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop interactive dashboards and executive-level reports using data visualization tools.
- Design and deploy automated tools to streamline manual financial reconciliation processes and increase data integrity.
- Identify financial trends, anomalies, and areas for process efficiency within large federal datasets.
- Synthesize data from DoW platforms to support audit and leadership decision-making.
- Integrate financial audit data with operational metrics to create unified "quality dashboards" for organizational risk.
Required Qualifications
- Eight (8) or more years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or financial systems management.
- Five (5) or more years of experience specifically utilizing data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik) to develop interactive dashboards and executive-level reports.
- Demonstrated experience developing and deploying automated tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, UiPath, or "bots") to streamline manual financial reconciliation processes and increase data integrity.
- Experience identifying financial trends, anomalies, and areas for process efficiency within large federal datasets.
- Proficiency in utilizing Department of War (DoW) data platforms to synthesize data for audit and leadership decision-making.
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical senior leadership.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or Information Technology.
- Experience integrating financial audit data with operational metrics to create unified "quality dashboards" for organizational risk.
- Certifications in data analytics or process automation (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, or UiPath Certified Professional).
- Experience with the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and other DoW financial systems listed in the PWS (e.g., DDRS).
