Telecommunications Field Technician

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Telecommunications Field Technician to join their operations team in Surat, Gujarat . This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the high performance and reliability of our client's network services for residential and business customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, hands-on experience with telecommunications systems, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving network issues, performing routine maintenance, installing new equipment such as routers, modems, and fiber optic cables, and ensuring that all work is completed to high standards. You will work independently in the field, managing your schedule and responding to service requests efficiently. A valid driver's license and the ability to work in various weather conditions are required. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with excellent troubleshooting skills and a dedication to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including routers, modems, switches, and fiber optic systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to voice, data, and video services. Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on network infrastructure. Respond to service calls and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner. Conduct site surveys and assess installation requirements. Ensure all installations and repairs meet company standards and specifications. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working in the field. Provide technical assistance and educate customers on the use of equipment and services. Document all service calls, repairs, and installations accurately. Collaborate with team members and dispatch to ensure efficient workflow. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience (2+ years) as a Telecommunications Technician or in a similar role. Strong understanding of telecommunications network technologies (e.g., DSL, Fiber Optics, Ethernet, Wi-Fi). Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting telecommunications equipment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Proficiency with hand and power tools relevant to the trade. Physical ability to climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, and lift equipment as required. This on-site position in Surat, Gujarat is critical for maintaining our client's network infrastructure and ensuring customer satisfaction.
