Job Description

Our client, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Renewable Energy Analyst to join their pioneering team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within India. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in renewable energy technologies, grid integration challenges, and energy market dynamics. You will play a critical role in analyzing the technical and economic feasibility of large-scale renewable energy projects, contributing to the acceleration of the global energy transition.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive analysis of grid infrastructure and its capacity to integrate variable renewable energy sources (solar, wind). Develop and refine sophisticated power system models to assess the impact of renewable energy penetration on grid stability, reliability, and economics. Evaluate emerging renewable energy technologies and their potential for market deployment. Perform techno-economic assessments of renewable energy projects, including cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments. Stay abreast of national and international energy policies, regulations, and market trends impacting renewable energy deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project developers, and policymakers, to provide data-driven insights and recommendations. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and technical documentation for internal stakeholders and external clients. Contribute to the development of strategic roadmaps for renewable energy integration and market expansion. Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Identify and pursue new business opportunities related to renewable energy consulting.

Qualifications

Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Environmental Science, or a closely related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the renewable energy sector, with a strong focus on grid integration and power systems analysis. Demonstrated expertise in power flow analysis, stability studies, and grid impact assessments. Proficiency with power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory DIgSILENT, PSCAD). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable conclusions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely. Experience with energy markets and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting. Familiarity with various renewable energy technologies (PV, CSP, onshore/offshore wind). Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
