Job Description
Our client, a leading digital product studio, is seeking an innovative and talented Senior UX/UI Designer to join their award-winning remote team. This position offers the unique opportunity to craft intuitive and engaging user experiences for a wide range of digital products, working from the comfort of your home office anywhere in Canada. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design.
Responsibilities
Lead the design process for complex digital products, from initial research and concept development to final UI implementation. Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions. Create user personas, journey maps, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design concepts. Develop intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and user needs. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into elegant and functional design solutions. Iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing results, and technical constraints. Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across products. Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth and evolution of the design team. Stay abreast of the latest UX/UI trends, technologies, and best practices, advocating for user-centered design principles. Present design concepts and rationale clearly and persuasively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, with a proven track record of designing successful digital products. Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, etc. Experience conducting user research and usability testing. Strong understanding of front-end development principles and capabilities. Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color, and layout. Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively in a remote, agile environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with animation and motion design is a plus.
