As a Senior R&D Chemist at our client's innovative Scientific Research & Development team in Gurugram, Haryana, IN, you will have a hybrid work arrangement, balancing laboratory-based research with remote analysis and documentation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute research and development projects for new chemical products and formulations.
  • Design and conduct experiments to synthesize, characterize, and test novel chemical compounds.
  • Develop and optimize chemical processes for scalability and efficiency, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, NMR, FTIR) for material characterization and quality control.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges and propose innovative solutions in product development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to commercialization.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, research summaries, and patent applications.
  • Stay current with scientific advancements, literature, and emerging technologies in relevant chemistry fields.
  • Mentor and guide junior chemists and research assistants.
  • Manage laboratory equipment, consumables, and ensure adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Evaluate raw materials and identify potential suppliers.
  • Contribute to intellectual property generation and protection.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in chemical research and development, preferably within an industrial setting.
  • Proven expertise in organic synthesis, analytical chemistry, and materials science.
  • Proficiency with a wide range of analytical instrumentation and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of process development and scale-up principles.
