Our client, a leading global manufacturer renowned for its commitment to excellence, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quality Control Engineer to join our critical operations team in Nagpur, Maharashtra, IN . This position is instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and manufacturing process integrity. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality control systems, leading quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating closely with production, engineering, and R&D teams. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of quality management principles, statistical process control, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive quality control plans and procedures for all manufacturing processes. Conduct regular inspections and audits of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor, analyze, and improve manufacturing process capabilities. Lead root cause analysis for quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues, driving continuous improvement efforts. Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, test procedures, and quality records. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001). Train and mentor quality control technicians and other personnel on quality standards and procedures. Participate in the development and implementation of new product quality strategies. Analyze quality data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks. Oversee the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment and instrumentation. Contribute to the development and implementation of supplier quality assurance programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in implementing and managing quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). Strong knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles. Experience with root cause analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams). Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Experience with quality control instrumentation and testing equipment. Familiarity with various manufacturing processes relevant to the industry. Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) are highly desirable.
