As a Senior Process Engineer at our client, a leading entity in the energy sector, located in Mysuru, Karnataka, IN, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and developing new energy generation processes with a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design and implementation of process improvements for existing energy facilities.
- Conducting feasibility studies for new renewable energy projects such as solar thermal, wind power integration, or biomass conversion.
- Developing detailed process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Selecting appropriate equipment, defining operating parameters, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, operations, and project management.
- Mentoring junior engineers, providing technical guidance, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
To excel in this role, you must have a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles as applied to the energy industry, with a proven track record in process design, simulation, and troubleshooting. Experience with process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, and data analysis tools is essential. A strong grasp of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer is paramount. Problem-solving skills, excellent analytical abilities, and strong communication skills are also required.
