Senior Process Engineer - Oil & Gas

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for oil and gas production and refining. Conduct process simulations and modeling to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Lead and participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies. Provide technical expertise and support to operations, maintenance, and project teams. Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement effective solutions. Manage process engineering projects, from conception through to commissioning. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance process efficiency. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and cost estimates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Process Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry. Proven expertise in process design, simulation, and troubleshooting. Proficiency with process simulation software such as HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar. Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass/heat transfer. Experience with safety analysis techniques like HAZOP. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions. Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME).
