Our client, a prominent chemical manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Chemical Engineer to join their team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat . This role is critical to optimizing our production processes, ensuring safety, and driving innovation in chemical engineering practices. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of chemical processes, plant operations, and process simulation tools. This is an on-site position requiring a strong commitment to operational excellence and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for plant operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance. Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and pilot plant trials for new process designs and improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex process-related issues in manufacturing, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and maintenance, to implement process improvements and new technologies. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies throughout the process lifecycle. Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support. Manage process engineering projects, including scope definition, budget management, and scheduling. Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technologies to enhance process performance and reduce operational costs. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for management and stakeholders. Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in process engineering within the chemical industry. Strong expertise in process design, simulation (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS), and troubleshooting. In-depth knowledge of chemical plant operations, unit operations, and safety protocols (e.g., HAZOP). Proven experience in project management and leading engineering teams. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
