Job Description

As a Senior Industrial Engineer at our organization based in Nagpur, Maharashtra, IN, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to manufacturing and operational processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Your role will involve optimizing workflows, implementing lean methodologies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with production staff, management, and other engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current industrial processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Design and implement optimized workflows, layouts, and material handling systems.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive waste reduction and quality improvements.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to establish production standards and benchmarks.
  • Implement and manage continuous improvement projects from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to address operational challenges.
  • Use simulation software to model and evaluate proposed process changes.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, efficiency, and cost, and report on findings.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in industrial engineering and operations management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all process designs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process improvement and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, simulation software, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in project management and leading improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems and equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
