Our client, a prominent manufacturing firm, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to join their team in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, IN . This role is instrumental in optimizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, and reducing costs within the manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles, lean manufacturing techniques, and data analysis, coupled with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes, workflow, and layout to maximize productivity and minimize waste. Develop and implement lean manufacturing initiatives, such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S. Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard operating procedures and performance metrics. Design and implement efficient material handling and storage systems. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to identify and resolve operational issues. Develop and maintain production forecasts, capacity plans, and resource allocation models. Utilize statistical analysis and data visualization tools to identify trends and areas for improvement. Lead cross-functional teams on process improvement projects. Develop and implement cost reduction strategies while maintaining quality standards. Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on process improvement methodologies. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and contribute to a safe working environment. Evaluate new technologies and equipment for potential implementation to enhance efficiency. Prepare detailed reports on operational performance, project outcomes, and recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, preferably within a manufacturing setting. Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and tools (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data. Proficiency in simulation software, CAD, and statistical analysis tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Experience in process mapping, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis. Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics is beneficial. Commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). Must be able to work on-site in Indore.
