Senior Forensic Accountant

Our client, a reputable accounting firm in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, IN , is seeking an experienced Senior Forensic Accountant to bolster their specialized investigations team. This role involves the meticulous examination of financial records to detect and prevent fraud, misconduct, and financial irregularities. You will conduct in-depth analyses, gather evidence, and provide expert testimony in legal and regulatory proceedings. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining office-based collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct forensic investigations into allegations of fraud, financial misconduct, and other irregularities. Analyze complex financial data, including accounting records, transactions, and electronic evidence, to identify discrepancies and patterns. Reconstruct financial records and quantify financial losses. Interview witnesses, suspects, and stakeholders to gather information and evidence. Prepare detailed forensic accounting reports, summarizing findings, methodologies, and conclusions. Provide expert witness testimony in legal proceedings, depositions, and arbitration hearings. Assist in the development and implementation of fraud prevention and detection programs. Collaborate with legal counsel, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders. Maintain professional skepticism and adhere to ethical standards throughout investigations. Stay updated on the latest forensic accounting techniques, legal precedents, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or equivalent. Minimum of 6 years of experience in forensic accounting, auditing, or financial investigations. Proven experience in fraud detection, investigation, and litigation support. Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and relevant laws. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly. Proficiency in data analysis software and forensic accounting tools. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously. High level of integrity and discretion.
