Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Service Technician who will primarily operate remotely, providing expert technical support and guidance for on-site teams across various locations. This role is crucial for diagnosing complex issues, offering solutions, and ensuring the optimal performance of sophisticated equipment. The ideal candidate possesses a deep technical understanding and exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a focus on guiding field technicians through intricate installation and maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for complex installation and maintenance issues across diverse client sites. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures by analyzing technical data, diagnostic reports, and technician feedback. Develop clear, step-by-step instructions and solutions for field technicians to resolve technical challenges. Maintain and update a knowledge base of common issues, resolutions, and best practices. Conduct remote training sessions for field service teams on new equipment, procedures, and troubleshooting techniques. Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to identify and resolve recurring technical problems. Review and approve service reports submitted by field technicians to ensure quality and accuracy. Create technical documentation, including service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and FAQs. Monitor equipment performance remotely and proactively identify potential issues before they impact operations. Act as a point of escalation for critical technical issues that field technicians cannot resolve independently. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and company standards during remote guidance. Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field. Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in field service, installation, or maintenance of complex machinery or systems. Proven expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting a wide range of technical problems remotely. Exceptional ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency with remote diagnostic tools, diagnostic software, and virtual collaboration platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting. Experience in training or mentoring junior technicians is highly desirable. Familiarity with various types of industrial equipment or specific technologies relevant to the company's products.
