Our client, a global leader in industrial automation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Service Technician to join their expanding team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, IN . This critical role involves providing expert on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for our advanced machinery and equipment at customer locations. You will be the technical face of our company, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction through your deep technical expertise and proactive problem-solving.
Responsibilities
Perform complex installations, commissioning, and preventative maintenance on sophisticated industrial equipment according to specifications and service manuals. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues efficiently, implementing effective repair solutions. Conduct regular inspections and performance tests to identify potential problems before they occur. Provide on-site technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring they understand equipment operation and maintenance procedures. Manage spare parts inventory for service calls and maintain accurate service records and reports. Collaborate with the engineering and support teams to resolve challenging technical issues and provide feedback for product improvement. Train customers and junior technicians on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies while on customer sites. Respond to emergency service requests promptly, minimizing downtime for clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in field service, installation, maintenance, or repair of complex industrial machinery. Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control system issues. Strong understanding of PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and industrial automation systems is highly desirable. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills. Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 70%) to customer sites within the region. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and computer-based maintenance systems. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Experience working with robotics or automated manufacturing equipment is a significant advantage.
