Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their fully remote, project-driven team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional looking to contribute their expertise to significant infrastructure development projects across Canada from the comfort of their home office, ideally located within or near **Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, CA**. You will be responsible for the design, planning, and oversight of various civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet all technical, regulatory, and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the design and development of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, water supply, and wastewater networks. Perform complex engineering calculations, site analyses, and feasibility studies. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents using CAD software and other relevant tools. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring project delivery on time and within scope. Oversee construction activities, provide technical guidance to site teams, and conduct site inspections. Ensure compliance with all relevant provincial and federal engineering standards, building codes, and environmental regulations. Liaise with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to communicate project progress and address concerns. Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for infrastructure projects. Stay current with advancements in civil engineering technology, materials, and best practices.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Saskatchewan or eligibility for immediate transfer. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management. Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex infrastructure projects. Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar. Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, hydrology, hydraulics, and structural analysis. Excellent knowledge of Canadian building codes, municipal bylaws, and environmental regulations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage remote teams and client relationships. Strong problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a remote work setting.
