Our client, a prestigious civil engineering consultancy, is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to lead significant infrastructure projects in Phoenix, Arizona, US . This role demands extensive expertise in the design, planning, and management of public and private infrastructure projects, including transportation, water, wastewater, and site development. You will be instrumental in guiding project teams, ensuring design excellence, and fostering strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of civil infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, utility networks, and site improvements. Prepare comprehensive engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates. Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments. Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-efficient project delivery. Collaborate closely with clients, government agencies, stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior engineering staff. Review contractor submittals and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the construction phase. Perform engineering calculations and analysis using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, StormCAD). Stay current with advancements in civil engineering technologies and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master's degree is a plus. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona is required. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure design and project management. Demonstrated experience in managing projects from conception through completion. Proficiency with civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of transportation engineering principles, hydrology, hydraulics, and land development practices. Excellent understanding of relevant codes and regulations (e.g., ADEQ, ADOT). Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively within a team. Experience in public sector projects (municipal, DOT) is highly desirable.
