In this fully remote role, you will provide critical installation, maintenance, and repair services for our clients' advanced equipment and systems, all while operating from your designated remote workspace. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise, exceptional diagnostic skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding on-site support to a diverse range of clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of complex machinery and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Perform on-site installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair of specialized equipment and systems according to technical specifications and service manuals. Conduct regular preventative maintenance and inspections to identify and address potential issues before they cause downtime. Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and software problems, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques. Provide technical support and guidance to clients on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices. Document all service activities, including repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used, in the company's service management system. Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment at your remote service location, ensuring availability for on-site needs. Respond promptly and efficiently to service requests and emergency calls, minimizing client disruption. Stay updated on new product releases, technical advancements, and service protocols through continuous training. Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve escalated technical issues and contribute to product improvement feedback. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Mentor and guide junior technicians, sharing expertise and best practices. Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field. Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in field service, installation, or maintenance of industrial equipment or complex systems. Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. Strong understanding of control systems, automation, and potentially software troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical personnel. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively in a remote operational context. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (if required for travel to client sites). Willingness to travel extensively to client locations as required by service needs. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and relevant software applications.
