Remote IT Support Specialist

Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Remote IT Support Specialist to join their expanding technical support team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical difficulties, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure smooth business operations. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues across a range of devices and operating systems, diagnosing and resolving network connectivity problems, and assisting users with application support. You will manage helpdesk tickets, meticulously documenting all interactions and resolutions. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you'll be involved in creating and maintaining IT documentation and procedures, and conducting user training sessions on new software or hardware. The ideal candidate possesses excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of IT principles, and a customer-centric approach. Proficiency in remote support tools, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common business applications is essential. You should have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users. A relevant IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) is a plus. This role requires a self-starter who can manage their time effectively, work independently, and maintain a high level of productivity in a remote setting.
