Job Description

Our client, a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to impactful social change, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Grant Writer and Development Manager. This is a fully remote, home-based position that requires exceptional writing skills, a strategic approach to fundraising, and a proven ability to secure grant funding from diverse sources. The candidate will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, crafting compelling grant proposals, and managing relationships with foundations and corporate donors. This role is central to the organization's sustainability and growth.

Responsibilities

Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding bodies that align with the organization's mission and programs. Write, edit, and proofread high-quality grant proposals, applications, reports, and other fundraising materials, ensuring they are clear, concise, compelling, and adhere to funder guidelines. Develop and maintain a grant calendar, tracking deadlines for submissions, reports, and renewals. Build and nurture strong relationships with foundation program officers, corporate giving managers, and other key stakeholders. Manage the grant reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of all required documentation. Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposals and reports, ensuring the accurate articulation of program goals, activities, and outcomes. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes grant writing, donor cultivation, and stewardship. Assist in the development of other fundraising materials, such as appeal letters, case statements, and impact reports. Track grant funding performance and analyze success rates to refine strategies. Stay informed about trends in philanthropy, non-profit management, and the specific issue areas served by the organization. Utilize CRM software to manage donor information, track communications, and report on fundraising progress. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in successful grant writing and fundraising within the non-profit sector. Proven track record of securing significant grant funding from various sources. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a talent for persuasive writing. Strong research skills to identify and evaluate funding opportunities. Proficiency in grant management software and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge). Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines in a remote environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. A deep understanding of and passion for the mission of non-profit organizations. Experience in developing and executing fundraising strategies is highly desirable.
