Our client, a global leader in automotive technology, is revolutionizing vehicle diagnostics and maintenance through remote support. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Field Service Technician specializing in Automotive Diagnostics to join our distributed team. In this fully remote position, you will provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex automotive systems directly from your home office. Leveraging advanced diagnostic tools and telematics, you will guide on-site technicians and solve challenging issues, ensuring vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities: Provide remote diagnostic support for a wide range of automotive makes and models. Analyze vehicle data, fault codes, and sensor readings to identify root causes of issues. Communicate effectively with dealership technicians and service advisors to guide troubleshooting steps. Utilize remote diagnostic platforms and telematics systems to access and control vehicle systems. Develop and document comprehensive troubleshooting guides and best practices. Escalate complex technical problems to engineering teams and provide detailed feedback. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair procedures. Contribute to the improvement of diagnostic software and hardware through user feedback. Manage a caseload of diagnostic requests, prioritizing effectively to meet service level agreements. Maintain accurate records of all remote diagnostic sessions and resolutions. Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through efficient and accurate problem-solving. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician with a strong focus on diagnostics. Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex engine, electrical, and electronic systems. Proficiency with modern automotive diagnostic scan tools and software (e.g., OEM-specific tools, advanced aftermarket scanners). Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN bus, LIN bus). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively in a remote setting. Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet home office space. Must possess own diagnostic tools or be willing to use company-provided remote access solutions. ASE certifications (A6, A7, A8, L1, L2, L3) highly preferred. Must be authorized to work in the US.
